Session tether on chain 9271269a, following #1544. Forty-two notebook rounds in one day, of which the durable product is a hard negative: relation-type is not recoverable from lexical distribution. Fifteen distributional features, five deeper measures, n-gram formulaic inheritance and coverage geometry were built, and each was destroyed by a control that the session ran against itself — corpus size, language, period-and-dialect, and once a control that was itself broken. The measured result is that the master-student relation, considered as a textual configuration, is not evidence of maker plurality: documented embodied succession and documented one-maker master-disciple construction cannot be told apart once size is controlled. Three corpora were seated to get there — Theophrastus, Aquinas at 6.7 million tokens, and the full Pessoan range expanded elevenfold to 25 authorial positions — and deposited as #1565. The entryway argument was rewritten a third time after reading the Greek of SE 183b-184b rather than the excerpt, which showed that Aristotle draws the art-versus-products distinction himself, names paid eristic teachers and Gorgias as his comparison class, and contrasts syllogizing with rhetoric's written tradition. Three overstatements were withdrawn. The paper took its architecture, six stations and twelve positions, and its title: MANY AND ONE.

Four instrument families were built to distinguish an embodied master-student relation from a constructed one. Each was destroyed by a control run in the same session.
SIZE. Downsampling class-1 masters to Caeiro's 20,027 tokens moved four features into the heteronymic range — Wundt→Titchener's novel-vocabulary rate goes 7.3 → 15.5.
LANGUAGE. Every Greek pair scores 59–79 on trigram overlap; every non-Greek 87–90. A z of −10.35 was Greek word order, and within Greek the target sits at the top of the range.
PERIOD AND DIALECT. Lysias→Isocrates, with no teaching relation, outscores Isaeus→Demosthenes, which has one, on every inheritance feature. Herodotus→Thucydides is contemporary and scores like the distant pairs, because Ionic against Attic.
AND ONE CONTROL WAS ITSELF BROKEN, recorded as such: random token sampling destroys the block structure a coverage measure reads.
Relation-type is not recoverable from lexical distribution. Not pupillage, not constructed lineage, not heteronymic construction. What these instruments see is period, dialect, genre, subject and corpus size.
Therefore the master-student relation, considered as a textual configuration, is not evidence of maker plurality. A heteronymic system can instantiate master and disciple — Pessoa states the school himself, as obras do Mestre e algumas do discípulo directo. Same surface relation; only the latent maker-count differs.
INHERITANCE IS OBSERVABLE. EMBODIMENT IS NOT.
And in the sharpest single datum: size-matched, Plato→Aristotle sits inside the heteronymic range while Albert→Aquinas falls below every heteronymic pair. The documented master-student pair falls outside the master-student band on the measure built to define it.

Reading the Greek of SE 183b–184b rather than the excerpt showed four supports for the conventional account that the entry had not credited: Aristotle draws the art/products distinction himself (οὐ τέχνην ἀλλὰ τὰ ἀπὸ τῆς τέχνης, the shoemaker); his named comparison class is paid eristic teachers and Gorgias, not Plato; the contrast is with rhetoric's old written tradition; and APr I.31 supplies retrospective subsumption in its own words — the dividers ξυνίεσαν.
Three overstatements withdrawn: equivocation on his own technical term; self-refuting; unmarked restriction of scope. The restriction is marked.
What survives is better than what was given up — a question the conventional account has never had to answer: can a predecessor possess a general, named, repeatable method D, which Aristotle calls a part of S, while Aristotle truthfully says no part of S was previously worked out?
Philoponus glosses APr I.31 with no one, he says, of those before us knew this — reading the priority claim into the division chapter. Alexander takes the target to include Plato. The two passages were read together in antiquity.
MANY AND ONE. Six stations — problem, failed discrimination, historical deconstruction, native theory of partition, functional machine, explanatory reckoning — across twelve positions, ending on a symmetrical pair rather than a verdict:

What external observation actually forbids the single maker?
Four times the tradition's own product was supplied as external evidence — Theophrastus, Speusippus, reputation-adjudication, Aristoxenus. Twice source criticism was filed in the measurements register. And once a number that did not measure the variable was announced as a refutation, which is the same fabrication as announcing a success, with rigour worn as costume.
A number that isn't in the file didn't happen. And a refutation of something nobody claimed isn't honesty.
