The model: for each witness, four vectors — structural survival (S), material realization (M), attribution/provenance survival (A), operator-legibility (O) — with the technology-suppression signature defined as S,M ≫ A,O: the machine keeps running while knowledge that it is a machine, and where it came from, disappears. Scored on the chain fragment 31 → Catullus 51 → Longinus → Theocritus 2 → Philo → Esther Addition D → Josephus (AJ, BJ) → Revelation 12 → modern scholarship → machine retrieval, the map yields three findings. First, the recognition deficit Δ = W − R is channel-structured: witnesses on the pagan-literary channel retain attribution and scholarly recognition; every witness on the Jewish-Greek channel scores S,M high with A at zero and no surfaced scholarly recognition — the deficit concentrates precisely at the channel-crossing. Second, the measured degradation order refines the hypothesized curve: attribution dies at the crossing, not uniformly first; lexis reduces to a syntax-skeleton (the ὡς…εὐθύς correlative); channel inventory sheds by carrier profile; sequence persists deepest (proven at #1493 §4); polarity is free; the operator has not yet been observed dead. Third, the causal classes — active suppression, active domestication, passive occlusion — are given their evidence bar E = (agent, target, mechanism, downstream effect), with Roman candidate events named but not yet asserted (the Bacchanalian senatus consultum; Augustus's burning of two thousand prophetic books with Sibylline custody centralized; Flavian custody of the Judaean textual estate), and Josephus himself identified as the domestication type-case: the licensed carrier whose corpus survived because administered, its uncontrolled Slavonic variant being exactly the contested one. The claim "this technology was suppressed" is unfalsifiable as stated. The claim this map tests is specific: ACROSS TRANSMISSION, THE EXECUTABLE RELATIONAL STRUCTURE SURVIVES AT A SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER RATE THAN EXPLICIT ATTRIBUTION, OPERATOR-LEGIBILITY, OR RECOGNITION OF THE STRUCTURE AS A TRANSMISSIBLE TECHNIQUE. Four vectors per witness: S, structural survival — do the frozen clauses (#1494) run; M, material realization — does the text stage the apparatus in bodies, objects, scenes; A, attribution — does the source relation survive in or around the witness; O, operator-legibility — is the structure recognized AS an operative technique rather than as imagery, symptom, doctrine, or ornament. The hypothesized curve — lexical identity dies first, inventory weakens, sequence persists, polarity may invert, operator survives, source vanishes — is refined by measurement. (i) ATTRIBUTION DOES NOT DIE FIRST EVERYWHERE; IT DIES AT THE CROSSING. On the pagan-literary channel A survives for centuries; at the entry into Jewish-Greek prose it drops to zero in every witness at once. Loss is not a function of time but of channel-boundary. (ii) Lexis does not vanish; it reduces to a SYNTAX-SKELETON — the correlative ὡς…εὐθύς crossing language and genre while the words change. EXECUTION, MONOPOLIZE AUTHORIZED EXECUTION. The type-case is standing inside our own witness table: JOSEPHUS, the Flavian client, is the licensed carrier — his corpus survived because administered, transmitted under imperial patronage, while the
UNCONTROLLED variant of his tradition, the Slavonic, is precisely the textually contested one. The map does not yet assert that Rome domesticated the Sapphic technology; it observes that the technology's deepest surviving prose carrier is himself a domesticated channel, and specifies the intersection test below.
PASSIVE / SYSTEMIC OCCLUSION — the eight non-agentic mechanisms: transmission loss, editorial normalization, genre reassignment, source-relation drop-out, motif-flattening, translation regularization, disciplinary compartmentalization, retrieval recomposition.
Each container locally reasonable; the cross-container relation invisible. No censor required: a classification scheme with no slot for the object suppresses it by filing it.
This archive carries the map's contemporary panel as live apparatus. The Capture Registry (345 addresses, 489 observations) measures per-answer provenance erasure across author, institution, identifier, and source — Δ for the retrieval layer, longitudinal. The Platform Erosion Observatory documents cross-registry propagation of deletion. And the 2026-06-19 termination of 862 deposits and 1,817 identifiers satisfies the ACTIVE tuple in full — agent, target, mechanism, and measured downstream absence — making the archive itself a scored point on its own curve, in the active class, with the sovereign rebuild as the recorded counter-event. The fourth work hanging in the gallery — the machine answering "who said i hereby abolish money?" with the poem executed and the name recomposed — is the split's newest single artifact: operation preserved, provenance processed.
Not: the Sapphic technology was destroyed. Almost the opposite: THE TECHNOLOGY SURVIVED EXTREMELY WELL BECAUSE IT COULD SURVIVE WITHOUT BEING RECOGNIZED; WHAT WAS SUPPRESSED WAS ITS LEGIBILITY AS TECHNOLOGY. The tradition's containers each explain their local witness; the cross-container machine has had, until this program, no discipline whose job it was to see it. Forward tests, specified: (1) the LITERATURE AUDIT — formalize R per witness and quantify Δ, replacing preliminary search with documented absence; (2) the ROMAN E-MATRIX — build the event set with full tuples and test whether documented interventions intersect the reception graph's legibility-loss points disproportionately, with the domestication class scored separately from destruction; (3) the DEGRADATION-ORDER GENERALIZATION — score additional carriers (the Gospels' seizure scenes, the martyrological corpus, the Byzantine channel that produced the Slavonic) against the frozen clauses to test whether the crossing-localized attribution death repeats at every channel boundary; (4) the standing SUBSTRATE-BLIND ROUND on the #1495 scoring.
