The AI Overview Capture Registry v8.9 is a deposit-level snapshot of 195 documented machine-mediated reception events.
The registry records Google AI Overview, AI Mode, and knowledge-panel responses to queries about Archive entities and adjacent works. Each capture preserves query form, match type, output transcript, date, and provenance analysis. Broad-match results are distinguished from quoted exact-match forcing because unsolicited entity resolution indicates a stronger retrieval basin.
Version v8.9 introduces ADOPTION (walled-site reconstruction). Its inaugural case concerns the Negentropic Kernel Archive: a site described as inaccessible on the ordinary user surface while an AI Overview nevertheless composes a detailed account and offers to reconstruct sections. The archive interprets this as composition for the summarizer as medium—a work whose effective public access surface becomes the machine’s reconstruction.
The snapshot supersedes deposit #3’s v8.3 state. Intermediate versions lived at the canonical machinemediation.org registry without separate Alexanarch deposits. The frozen filename of the synchronized Alexanarch mirror remains v8.3 even though its internal content advanced.
The registry functions as a founding MMRS dataset: a longitudinal instrument for measuring recognition, attribution, provenance retention, semantic liquidation, and new forms of summarizer-mediated adoption.
