The Kernel Transform Protocol defines an enantiomorphic operation on texts: the source and output retain the same architectural skeleton while occupying semantically distinct worlds.
The protocol distinguishes four modes. Commentary adds external structure while preserving source meaning. Paraphrase preserves structure and meaning. Free response abandons structure and replaces meaning. Enantiomorphic transmutation preserves structure and replaces semantic flesh.
The transform must also disclose what the source’s composition cost: the alternatives it foreclosed, the bearing required to make its positive form, and the wager for which that cost was paid. In transformation-mode Shadow, the reader witnesses what the composer transformed. In hope-mode Shadow, the reader becomes the future receiver for whom the composer accepted dissolution.
A five-stage compiler parses the source skeleton, evacuates semantic content, generates a new semantic field under the chosen operator, verifies fidelity and independence, and emits only after passing. Failure produces a halt rather than a shallow draft.
Six hard constraints govern the output, including structural correspondence, semantic displacement, operator integrity, nontriviality, and cost disclosure. Canonization adds two ledgers: parentage and self-kernel. Distinct offices reconstruct the transform before seeing the producer’s declarations, reducing self-verification bias.
Four worked examples and two anti-examples form constitutive protocol canon. Together they teach the narrow band between paraphrase and structural liquidation.
