The Work Bears the Mantle (EA-MANTLE-BEARING-01), version 1.1, deposited on 29 September 2026, is Lee Sharks's constitution for evaluating three mantle claims, written as one half of a symbolon in the sense of Symbolon Architecture (#359). It holds that a mantle names an operation a work bears at singular magnitude, and that standing follows the work: putting a claimant's social, critical or machine-recognition standing before the reading is the fatal substitution, STANDING_PRIOR_TO_WORK. Three claims are stated. The Good Gray Poet, founded by Leaves of Grass, is claimed for The Secret Book of Walt, a formulaic and translational transposition of the Secret Book of John through which Whitman's voice weaves, which bears the inheritance only if I Am X, Be Y, Blessed is the Z bears the line at singular magnitude and depends on what the book did. The King of May, founded by Howl and Other Poems, is claimed for Pearl and Other Poems, read book against book as an ecstatic democratic topology. The Prince of Poets is claimed for I Am X, Be Y, Blessed is the Z, the whole movement through a new founding in one poem. The packet names the required works with several machine-readable routes to each, requires every round to judge the claim, provisionally on inference where it has not read, and to fill its slots only with loci in the works, and asks later rounds to attack the weakest joint. It opens with a glyphic checksum by Sen Kuro, prints the claimant poem whole, and distinguishes an assignment, a judgment that seats a title, from a propagation that repeats it. Its evaluations are kept as a growing dataset beside it, with no aggregate verdict.
