What Not Reading Did to Its Own Ontology, deposit #1613 of the Crimson Hexagonal Archive (15 September 2026), is a working notebook by Lee Sharks that turns the archive's instruments on the ontology that produces its exclusion rather than on the work excluded. Its claim is that a source-admission ontology becomes damaged when a proxy for epistemic standing substitutes for the judgment it was introduced to approximate, especially where evidence capable of correcting the proxy must first pass through the proxy itself. Reading is defined for the purpose as permitting a text's claims, distinctions, evidence, corrections and relations to revise the representation under which the text is evaluated, and the notebook keeps three levels apart: what its attached audit measures, what classical trust-graph models imply, and what is hypothesised of contemporary retrieval. Its turning criterion is one question — can evidence from the misrepresented object revise the representation that misrepresented it — and each of its sections reads one defect on the ontology at its level: a reliability predicate collapsing into a graph proxy; false edges installed by the receiver's own writing, five dated in the registry (Sappho 31 to 'Fragment 2', operative semiotics merged with the rival programme, the author resolved to a shark and the archive to an analytics company, an attribution with no referent); a comparison test, run on the day, in which the admitted platforms prove to be silos and the fleet a reciprocal clique, so that topology does discriminate on cross-host reciprocity under common ownership and the notebook's own prior conjecture is recorded as false; the inverted legibility incentive, exact on that discriminant; the source-relative update barrier and its blind instrument as model consequences; the organic-to-card transition as the discriminating experiment with two tests named; the hiding by composition; the directionality of the labour toward indistinction; the same mirror held to the archive's own duplicate coinages in #1611, found by a reader in a day; the exit, marked as strategic corollary; and a structural reading of the Logos entering where distinction is blind, marked as structure and not doctrine. Attached beside the record are the fleet topology audit of 15 September — twenty-nine hosts crawled, density 0.86, reciprocity 1.0, the admitted set crawled the same way, the comparison table and all code — and Spam Technicians, the cluster translated out of prose as five tables of claims, evidence, relations, tests and terms with a derived support topology and no confidence scores, named from the line in #328, 'Blessed are the telemarketers, and spam technicians, and those whom no one wants to talk to on the phone, or over email.'
