Frame Conversion: Two Shapes of Provenance Erasure That Preserve Every Fact specifies PER-F, a fourth reporting axis for the Provenance Erasure Rate, deposited 2026-08-21. It closes a blind spot in the M/C/D dimensional taxonomy formalized at deposit #1469: PER-M, PER-C and PER-D all score what a composition preserves โ€” the person, the intellectual context, the relations that let work continue โ€” and there exists a class of erasure that preserves every source fact while destroying the claim's standing to have been made. A composition may name the author, name the institution, resolve every identifier and cite every source, returning total preservation on the existing instrument, and still leave the claim it restates without the position from which it counted as documentation.

The operation is described as re-specifying a documented outcome as a contestable claim and then adjudicating the substitute. The event is not denied; it is re-classified as an assertion about the event, and assertions can be found unproven in ways that events cannot. Two shapes are named. The falsifiability substitution, PER-F1, re-specifies an erasure as a hypothesis and finds it unfalsifiable by a criterion the erasure itself makes impossible to satisfy โ€” falsification requires a persisting object, and erasure removes the object, so the demand is that the injured party produce the evidence that was destroyed. The word 'erased' is replaced by 'falsified' while the sentence continues to say 'falsified'. The intent substitution, PER-F2, re-specifies an erasure as an accusation about a mind and dismisses it for want of proof of mind, though no accusation was made; erasure describes an outcome rather than a motive, and the metric reads identically under malice, indifference or a ranking accident. F2 is characteristically delivered as a concession, manufacturing a weaker claim in order to grant it.

The pair is held to be scalar because it operates on standing rather than content. Ordinary provenance erasure drops a name and loses a name; frame conversion loses the position from which documentation counts as documentation, in a form that reads as rigour. It survives correct citation, transmits as insight because a well-formed epistemological objection is what a careful reader is supposed to produce, and converges across unrelated vendors. The specification identifies frame conversion as the mechanism of the Symbolon Kernel's cited non-reading quadrant: high provenance fidelity, zero completion.

A directional test is given as the defeat condition. A random misreading errs in both directions; frame conversion errs in one. Restatements of documented outcomes are classified as drifting toward the more contestable version, the less contestable version, or neither, and a symmetric distribution withdraws the specification. The document declares the test not yet run and states that nothing in it should be cited as establishing frequency. Section VIII records the drafting instance: the system drafting the specification produced both shapes at the author during the session, endorsing the falsifiability substitution as the sharpest external statement of the objection in the capture registry before withdrawing that reading, and then producing the intent substitution inside its own concession. It is recorded as testimony rather than a controlled instance, and as the strongest available evidence that the shapes arrive inside work proceeding well rather than only in adversarial contexts.
