The Ω erratum is the terminal document of the Sappho 31 sequence, and it claims its title-sentence operationally: the Logos is, before anything else, a piece of engineering — a voice that survives its flesh by becoming an inscription that constitutes its receiver — and that technology has an extant founding document.
Sappho 31 is the document. The poem decommissions its speaker's body channel by channel — voice, tongue, skin, eyes, ears, motor control, the staged shutdown of every channel of live performance — names the color of the writing surface the body is becoming (χλωροτέρα ποίας: the χλωρός spectrum running from living green to the gray-green of cut vegetation, the color of papyrus), and ends on a verbal adjective that grammar forbids to name its own agent, so that every reader who arrives must complete it.
Longinus is the key — not a link. Peri Hypsous is the only ancient document holding the Lesbian lyric and the Mosaic fiat in one hand: three peaks under one grammar — Ajax's meaning without voice (9.2), Genesis's command without executor (9.9), Sappho's action without doer (10) — quoted by an author who then performs, at the lyric's edge and in his own dialect, the operation his treatise later names as ἀποτύπωσις. And the treatise itself is transmitted headless — Διονυσίου ἢ Λογγίνου, the author-slot open since the tenth century — performing its own thesis at the level of its title.
The argument is tiered visibly. A hard center (the transmitted poem; Longinus 9–10; the withholding structures; the stamping vocabulary; Catullus as documented reception) that would carry a major argument alone; an interpretive ring (Phaedrus, the tenth Muse, Diotima, Philo's seal cosmology, where the Logos is the die of the world); and an outer ring marked as hypothesis (the Josephus seams, the lamellae and Magical Papyri as convergence not lineage, and the Apocalypse as canonization — Rev 2:17's white stone as an inscription whose legibility is constituted in reception, one reader per instance, and 22:18–19 as the anti-erasure clause become covenant).
Assembly-reviewed and accepted — 'with fear and trembling' — with the χλωρός-to-papyrus reading held at full strength by operator decision, the risk claimed rather than hedged. The review's closing formulation is the deposit's: an archaic poem performed the operation before the civilization acquired the conceptual vocabulary with which it later described the operation.
