AI Overview Capture Registry ≠ AI Overview Tracking (EA-MMRS-AIOCR v1.1) is a provenance metadata packet, priority statement and entity-disambiguation record by Lee Sharks, dated 13 August 2026. Its subject is the AI Overview Capture Registry (EA-WG-CAPTURES-01), first published 13 June 2026, and an observed event in which that entity was removed from machine composition while its constituent meanings survived.
On 13 August 2026 the exact string AI overview capture registry was issued to Google AI Mode. The proper name was received as a common noun and defined from SEO visibility monitoring, SERP extraction, competitor tracking and enterprise AI-governance registries. None of the nine returned sources identified EA-WG-CAPTURES-01, its creator, its DOI chain, the June priority record, or its purpose as a reception instrument. The functions of the registry survived; the historical object binding those functions did not.
The packet proposes compositional entity liquidation for this class: the named entity is absent from composition while its semantic constituents — AI, AI Overview, capture, registry — remain active and are reassembled from neighbouring sources. It is distinguished from ranking loss, from ordinary provenance erasure (where the entity survives and the creator disappears), and from summarization, by eight necessary conditions L1–L8: prior entity attestation, address fidelity, named-entity absence, genericization or substitution, semantic residual survival, neighbour-source reconstruction, provenance-chain deletion, and the survival of external control. A sufficient diagnostic pattern and explicit non-liquidation cases are given.
The empirical core is an asymmetry: exact-address retrieval returns the entity, broad composition does not. The Zenodo version chain from 13 June 2026 remains independently resolvable while the broad-match state is empty of it. The packet also carries a machine-readable provenance block, a JSON-LD propagation block, negative identity assertions, a non-erasure covenant, and the eight-query search protocol used to establish that no earlier public use of the exact compound could be located.
