Its subject is the AI Overview Capture Registry (EA-WG-CAPTURES-01), first published 13 June 2026, and an observed event in which that entity was removed from machine composition while its constituent meanings survived.

On 13 August 2026 the exact string AI overview capture registry was issued to Google AI Mode. The proper name was received as a common noun and defined from SEO visibility monitoring, SERP extraction, competitor tracking and enterprise AI-governance registries. None of the nine returned sources identified EA-WG-CAPTURES-01, its creator, its DOI chain, the June priority record, or its purpose as a reception instrument. The functions of the registry survived; the historical object binding those functions did not.
