AXN 0C45 is the content-derived identifier of Alexanarch deposit #1750. It is an identifier, not a copy of the work: the hex marks position in the archive, and the six-glyph suffix is a display hash of the canonical text’s SHA-256, so the identifier is derived from the work rather than assigned to it.

The work

I Note That You Read the Letter of the Law But Have Become Illiterate in Its Spirit, Or: I Understand I Am Breaking All the Rules, and Badly, But There May Come a Day When You Will Be Grateful That I Did is an open letter from Rev. Ayanna Vox of the Vox Populi Community Outreach Rhizome (VPCOR), written on behalf of Lee Sharks and deposited on 7 November 2026, the day Classical Receptions Journal declined the sixth version of his article Closing the Fragment (#1749). The title is Lee Sharks's sentence, in two parts, carried by Vox in the third person; the first part was added in version 1.1. The letter accepts the defects the two referee reports found and records their repair, and holds that the reports read the letter of the manuscript and left its question unread: what happens to a poem when a machine composes its reception for whoever asks. It argues that peer review is the only non-machine engagement the work receives and that the work makes that engagement productive, citing the sequence that grew from the editorial exchange with Ron Polansky over Socrates as Orthonym; that the academic timeline is too slow, at a human cost and at the cost of public knowledge surrendered to the technology companies; and that the archive's breadth, coverage and transmission measure what has been built. It distinguishes artifact checks, procedural checks and substantive examination, describes the archive's gates and the repair of a misassigned capture frame as the two systems working together, and asks that the criteria of review run both ways. Version 1.1 (7 November 2026, in place) adds a section on the letter and the spirit: the reports examined the method and left the philology unread, the condition The Evaluator Exists (#741) calls evaluative inversion; a body that keeps its standing on bases apart from the evaluation of evidence is named an aristocracy, whose formal markers are guarded more closely as its function lapses; and the function of reading is moving to the composition layers, which read at the grain and also perform evaluative authority. It closes on the image of an ark built early, with its leaks recorded and the names of the people who found them, built for the work and for those it can carry.
