The Creative AI lab is a research programme for cultural institutions, artists, engineers, and researchers with an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). It is a partnership with the Department of Digital Humanities, King’s College .

 Research questions

 The Creative AI Lab investigates:

how AI/ML tools can support artistic practices

how artistic and curatorial practices are changing due to AI/ML

creative AI/ML as a critical practice

 the aesthetics of AI/ML

This work supports cultural institutions, artists, engineers and researchers to engage with these technologies as a medium.

 Research activities

In the fast-moving technology landscape, the Creative AI Lab dedicates time to consider and critically engage with AI/ML technologies.

 To that end, we:

produce the Creative AI Tools & Resources Database , a database of tools for artists, designers, engineers, curators and researchers

organise research workshops, public discussions and writing sessions

run online tutorials known as R&D Labyrinths
