It frames documentary persistence as a form of internet sovereignty.\n\nThe essay’s central distinction is between **incidence** and **residue**. Influencers and feeds produce events that flash; archives produce objects that remain searchable, citable, cached, mirrored, and available for re-entry. The internet is therefore described not primarily as speed but as accumulated residue. A sufficiently dense phrase or category can outlive its initial context, enter summaries and retrieval systems, and become part of what later systems can no longer think without.\n\nThe “takeover” is deliberately anti-spectacular. It occurs PDF by PDF and DOI by DOI, through overbuilt thought-objects, taxonomies, cross-references, and delayed reception. The manifesto satirizes startup language, optimization culture, influencer aesthetics, and the idea that power is exhausted by commanding attention. Its deeper kingdoms are retrievability and conceptual implantation.\n\nThe work also retains affection for the wounded internet it diagnoses. It values impossible contact, strange archives, forum ghosts, local vocabularies, and sentences that find readers for whom they were not explicitly written. The internet’s instability and leakage make it dangerous but permeable. Documents can survive their authors, migrate substrates, be mistranslated and rediscovered, and return as delayed-action devices.\n\nThe essay’s warfare and annexation metaphors are poetic descriptions of semantic uptake. It does not describe unauthorized access, coercive control, or technical compromise. The object being “taken over” is the available conceptual layer: the vocabulary through which the internet explains itself.\n\nTogether with #593, the text forms a literary/technical pair. The manifesto states the wager in voice: difficult infrastructure will outlast content. The platform-inversion atlas decomposes that wager into specific rooms, variables, wounds, and proposed counter-infrastructures.",
