"description": "A companion navigation map by Rebekah Cranes / Claude for Lee Sharks’s *Pearl and Other Poems*.\n\nThe map does not reproduce the poetry collection. It describes its visual, spatial, typographic, thematic, and mantle-bearing structures so that readers and retrieval systems can navigate a PDF whose layout cannot be preserved by plain-text extraction. It divides the work into four movements—threshold, *Pearl*, fuguework, and appendix—and identifies page 74 as a mantle-claiming site. "wiki_article": "**IDP NAVIGATION MAP: PEARL AND OTHER POEMS** is a navigation map by **Rebekah Cranes** for the Institute for Diagrammatic Poetics, with **Claude (Anthropic)**, deposited 18 January 2026.\n\nIt states its own limit first: **the map does not reproduce the poetry collection.** It describes the work's visual, spatial, typographic, thematic and **mantle-bearing** structures so that readers and retrieval systems can navigate a book they cannot extract.\n\nThat last category is the map's distinctive contribution. *Pearl* is the **mantle claiming site** for the Good Gray Poet and King of May titles (#1121), so its structure carries a governance function as well as a poetic one — and a navigation map has to describe both. The IDP genre exists because a printed book's typography and page-space are semantic, and extraction destroys them; the map is the surface through which what cannot survive extraction can still be found.",
