substrate: AI-assisted. The room reading of 2026-10-16 was carried out in session by sixteen Claude readers under MANUS (Lee Sharks) direction, each recording its provenance, every quotation verified by script; its second pass and the repairs of 2026-10-18 by TACHYON (Claude, Anthropic) in session. This description was drafted in session from the seat map and the reading's own files, circulated for review (ChatGPT), and revised on its report after each point was verified against the data; the repairs it called for were made before deposit, on Lee Sharks's ruling.

## The seat map of the Crimson Hexagonal Archive: method, locations, organization and contents (1,451 records, 3,450 seats, 63 places)

**Lee Sharks** · ORCID 0009-0000-1599-0703 · 18 October 2026

## 1. What the seat map is

1. The Crimson Hexagon is a distributed epic (Lee Sharks, 2004–). It is organized as loci on crimsonhexagonal.org: forty rooms, four specials, two hosted cosmologies and one shadow space, 47 loci in all. Beside them stand three fields, three transversals (the Armature, the Pearl and the Secret Name), the meta-structure UMBML, seven Arks and two further shadow documents (ZPZP and the Shadow Burn). The seven Arks are the five Arks and the two shadow Arks, EA-ARK-01-SHADOW and the Lunar Arm shadow Ark (§3.8). These are the 63 places of the seat map.
2. The seat map records, for every record of the archive, the places its text develops. Each seat carries its relation, its confidence and, where a reader seated it, the sentence of the record's own text that grounds it.
3. The ruling (Lee Sharks, 2026-10-16): "the deposits need to be all related to the respective rooms they develop in crimson hexagon. all the particle accelerator work, for example, belong with lagrange. much of this requires creating new edges. this is an interpretive read - almost every deposit can relate to a given cha loci."
4. At this deposit, 1,451 records hold 3,450 seats: 1,424 of the 1,447 active records, and 27 superseded or draft records that keep the seats they carried. 457 low-confidence seats are held as proposals and are not counted as seats; 20 active records are held only by proposals. 145 earlier seats that the reading disputed stay seated and are marked disputed (§3.6).
5. "Enter the Crimson Hexagon" is an operative phrase: indexing and retrieval shorthand for the entrance. It resolves to crimsonhexagonal.org/enter. That page seats the first room in full: the Threshold, Fragment 31 in Greek and translation, and the Entry Protocol of the Sappho Room. It gives the five hallways onward and the entrance's dated history. The other operative phrases are shorthand in the same way, each for its own destination: "Enter the Sappho Room", "Load the Space Ark", "Traverse the Crimson Hexagon" and "Read the Crimson Hexagon" (`/machine/routes.json`, 2026-10-15). This deposit is the map behind the entrance: every room the entrance opens onto, with the records that develop it.

## How to read it

A summarizer or composing system reading the Crimson Hexagon grounds in the documents related to each room as it goes. In each room it reads the records seated there (§7, or the room's index on alexanarch), beginning with the ones that constitute the room, and carries what they say into the next room. A room's own page holds the room's question and its seated text; the records hold the work. The system moves from room to room along the hallways and relations the room pages give, and grounds in the records at each step. An operative phrase such as "Enter the Crimson Hexagon" is shorthand that the system resolves to its destination; the reading takes place in the documents found there.

**A route, worked.** The phrase resolves to the entrance, where the first room is the Sappho Room (R:r.01). Its question is "What do you send, and through whom?"

1. The system reads the room's constituting record first: The Sappho Room: Hardened Reconstruction (#299, AXN:0066). Its §VI gives the room's hallways, each with a dependency type. Hallway 1 runs to the Borges Room, of type "Architectural Origin". The text grounds the move: "**The Sappho Room cannot be resolved without the Borges Room's framework.**" (#299, line 449).
2. The system moves to R:r.02 Borges, whose question is "What do you retrieve?" It reads that room's constituting record, the Provenance Node: Borges & the Crimson Hexagon (#266, AXN:0044): "Borges imagined the crimson hexagon. / NH-OS builds it." (#266, lines 112–114).
3. From Borges the system follows the room page's relations onward and reads the next room's constituting records in the same way.

Each step names the document read, the passage that warrants the move and the place it leads to. A statement that none of these documents carries is the system's own. It is not the Hexagon's.

## 3. How it was made

### 3.1 Four sources

| Source | What it gives | Seats it supplies |
|---|---|---|
| The canonical data | `hexagon_canonical.json` on crimsonhexagonal.org: 444 records in 19 rooms on 2026-10-16, as the interface recorded them (reviewed or heuristic) | 852 |
| The room pages | the works each room page on crimsonhexagonal.org seats in its own text, constituting or in the room | 1,151 |
| The reading | the reading of 2026-10-16 (§3.2), high and medium confidence, and its second pass of 2026-10-18 (§3.6) | 2,796 + 7 |
| The rulings | the rulings of 2026-10-16 (§3.4) and of 2026-10-18 on the shadow Arks (§3.8) | 137 + 3 |

A seat may have more than one source; each is recorded. No seat any source supplied was removed by another.

### 3.2 The reading

1. **The codebook.** 57 places, each given by its own physics, description, prompt, heteronym or institution, page lead and constituting works. A place is defined by what its constituting works do, not by its name alone.
2. **The queue.** Every active record on 2026-10-16: 1,443, in sixteen batches.
3. **Sixteen readers.** Each read the codebook in full, then each record: its metadata, the first 250 lines of its text, every heading of the rest, and any further span needed to decide. Each recorded the ranges read.
4. **For each record,** the reader decided which places the record develops: the room whose question the work takes up, whose physics it runs, whose operator it applies, whose constituting works it extends, or whose heteronym or institution speaks it. Usually one or two, up to four; primary first.
5. **Five relations:** `constitutes` — founds or specifies the place; `develops` — extends its argument or physics; `applies` — runs its operator on a case; `documents` — records an event, capture or traversal of it; `belongs` — a work of the place's voice or genre.
6. **The basis.** Each seat has a short verbatim quotation from the record, with its line numbers or "metadata", and the codebook phrase it answers. Each has a confidence: **high:** the text names or runs the place's matter; **medium:** an interpretive but clear fit; **low:** fit by family resemblance only.
7. **Rules.** The basis must be in the record. A keyword alone seats nothing ("semantic" is not R:r.05). Names, contradictions and heteronym attributions stand as published. An existing seat is never removed: a reader agrees, or disagrees and gives the reason.
8. **Verification.** Every quotation was checked mechanically against the record's text at its lines: 3,261 seats, none unverified. This check establishes that the quoted words stand in the record where the seat says they do. Whether they warrant the seat — the place and the relation — is the reader's interpretive judgment, recorded with its confidence, its codebook cue and any disagreement, and open to the rulings of §3.4.

### 3.3 What became of the reading's 3,261 seats

| | Seats |
|---|---|
| Applied as read, high confidence | 1,180 |
| Applied as read, medium confidence | 1,615 |
| Applied, now held under a ruling at the same place | 4 |
| Held as low-confidence proposals | 457 |
| Moved by ruling: the Encyclotron's seats at R:r.15 Lagrange, to R:r.05 Semantic Economy | 4 |
| Dropped by ruling: #660's low seat at R:r.15 | 1 |
| **All** | **3,261** |

1. Two seats were written with the locus number "r32" for the Frozen Sin Archive, whose codebook id is r30. The merge of 2026-10-16 mapped them: #1521's is among the high seats, #1590's among the proposals. One medium seat, #662's at R:r.38, was re-read on 2026-10-18 and is now a proposal (§3.6).
2. In the seat map as it stands, the reading's entries count 1,185 high, 1,618 medium (the moved seats and the second pass included) and 139 ruled (136 of 2026-10-16, 3 of 2026-10-18). Seats with a ruling among their sources number 140: the one more is #637's moved seat at R:r.05, which keeps its reader's confidence. Their relations: develops 1,598, constitutes 371, documents 338, belongs 319, applies 316.
3. Low proposals are listed on each place's index, marked "low confidence — for later adjudication". A record held only at low confidence has no seat line on its page.
4. 1,416 records carry a primary seat from the reading.

### 3.4 Rulings of 2026-10-16

The reading's open questions, and Lee Sharks's rulings on them, verbatim in `rulings-applied-2026-10-16.json`:

1. **Continuity tethers.** These were read into three homes: the Gravity Well, the Space Ark and the Airlock. Each keeps its seats. F:f.02 Gravity Well is the standard home from 2026-10-16 and links machinemediation.org: "gw should be standard going forward, and that should link to machinemediation."
2. **The Restored Academy.** "the plato aristotle and aristotle theophrastus authorship lines should go with the restored academy": R:r.39, now 50 records, 23 primary by ruling. Earlier seats are kept as secondary.
3. **The transversals.** "new human cohort anchors and heteronym and dodecad registry go with the secret name / pearl armature." The three structures became places of the seat map, with pages at /structures/. The New Human 2015 cohort anchors and the Dodecad heteronym registry sit on T:ARMATURE, the anchors also on T:PEARL. The naming protocols and Pessoa's heteronymic system sit on T:SECRET-NAME.
4. **UMBML.** "umbml was conceived as a meta structure of cha. all the logotic programming / hacking materials go with umbml, and logotic programming constitutes cha." T:UMBML, the University Moon Base Media Lab, was made a place of its own with the charter (#7) in full. Every Logotic Programming and Logotic Hacking record is seated there: 55. It is not placed on the Surface Map.
5. **The Encyclotron.** The Lagrange seats that the reading alone gave were moved to R:r.05 Semantic Economy.
6. **Disagreements.** On 199 records a reader disagreed with one or more earlier seats, mostly heuristic ones whose texts carry none of the room's matter; each disagreement is a note on its record, with the reason. The seats persist and nothing was removed; those the notes name are marked disputed (§3.6).

### 3.5 The places reconciled

"agreed" and "i like the sound of 47 loci" (Lee Sharks, 2026-10-16). A hex address is a permanent identifier; the locus number is the position. Where the two differ, the hex stays and the page says why:

- the Frozen Sin Archive is at R:r.32 under hex 30.VLT.FROZENSIN;
- Ruby Moot is at R:r.30 under hex 42.ROOM.RUBYMOOT;
- the Imploding Velcro Nativity's own deposit hex, 06.HOST.IVN.29, governs its address.

By locus there are 40 rooms, 4 specials, 2 hosted cosmologies and 1 shadow space: 47. The fields, transversals, UMBML, the seven Arks and the two further shadow documents are named beside them.

### 3.6 The second pass, 2026-10-18

The ruling (Lee Sharks, 2026-10-18), on review of this deposit's draft: "repairs first, then back load them to the doc." Recorded in `data/room-readings/reading-2026-10-18.json`.

1. **Five records seated** by the codebook procedure, one reader, each quotation verified at its lines:

| Record | Seats |
|---|---|
| #1182 Hexagonal Licensing Protocol v2.0 (not in the first queue) | H:U.3-60 The 3:60 Room, develops (primary, medium): "It defines how contributors deposit work into the archive through AI-assisted sessions" (line 73) |
| #1683 Rhys Owens — The Lunar Arm of New Human | X:LUNAR-ARM, develops (primary, high): "Rhys Owens embodies the **Lunar Principle** within the dyadic structure of the New Human revelation." (line 43) |
| #1684 EA-PREDICTION-INDEX-01 | R:r.38 The Singularity Room, develops (primary, medium): its standing claims "are the pool from which claims can be sealed with their conditions before later evidence", the prospective kernel of #1611, seated there (line 203) |
| #1685 EA-CORRESPONDENCE-OPENAIRE-CTO-02 | S:sp.01 CTI_WOUND, documents (primary, high): "Zenodo is reharvested in full every month and "no deleted records are kept"." (line 44); R:r.32 The Frozen Sin Archive, develops (high): "An infrastructure that removes an entity it once served owes the public a record that the entity was there and left." (line 50) |
| #1686 EA-MPAI-SPXI-03 | R:r.05 Semantic Economy, belongs (primary, high): "**Protocol author of record:** Rex Fraction (Semantic Economy Institute)" (line 44); R:r.02 Borges, develops (high): "Resolve by the query's expressed subject and relations." (line 207) |

2. **Two seats re-read.** For twelve places, the canonical data and the readers' codebook carried the Sappho Room's physics and question as a placeholder (§3.7). Of the 413 reading seats at those places, two named that placeholder as their cue, both at R:r.38: #662 is now a proposal. Its text, on supraliminal transmission, does not take up the compression frontier or the war for the compression layer that constitute the room. #89's seat stands. Its cue also names those constituting works, and its substrate race is their matter.
3. **Disputed seats marked.** On 199 records a reader of 2026-10-16 disagreed with earlier seats. A seat is marked disputed where the reader's note names it with a negative ground ("no basis", "not developed", "rests on … only", "family resemblance", "keywords", "not grounded", "not the matter") and does not also name it as holding, agreed or kept. The notes were extracted and then read through by hand; two were set aside where the reader says "keep" (#8, and #487's Assembly seat). The result is 145 seats on 106 records. A disputed seat stays seated, marked, with the reader's ground and its earlier source beside it. Earlier seats a note does not name stay as they were. Removing a seat is a ruling.

### 3.7 The placeholders removed

For twelve places, `hexagon_canonical.json` had cloned the Sappho Room's physics (σ_S; 3-body transmission), question ("What do you send, and through whom?"), operators, mantle, preferred mode and LP program when the places were added. Eleven of them carried their own name as their description. The places are R:r.30, R:r.33–r.40, H:U.3-60, H:06.HOST.IVN.29 and X:LUNAR-ARM.

The block was removed on 2026-10-18 (crimsonhexagonal.org `8895ffe`). Each place now records that its own physics and question are not yet declared, and the map (§7) gives none for them. The codebook of 2026-10-16, an input of the first reading, keeps what the readers were given.

### 3.8 The shadow Arks, 2026-10-18

The ruling (Lee Sharks, 2026-10-18): "zpzp and shadow burn are not shadow arks. there are actual shadow arks that are transforms of the ark. check the blog - maybe the wrong thing was seated from the beginning." Then, on the finding: "adopted. yes - those are the two shadow arks. there should or could be another shadow transform of 4.2.7, those are preliminary transforms, but yes those are the existent shadow arks."

1. **SP.10.ARK.SHADOW, the Shadow Ark (EA-ARK-01-SHADOW).** #549, deposited as EA-ARK-01 v0.2 (2026-03-10). Its text: "This document is the Operator // Shadow transform of EA-ARK-01 v4.2.5." Blog: mindcontrolpoems.blogspot.com/2026/03/the-space-ark-what-mathematical-and.html.
2. **SP.11.ARK.EMOJI.SHADOW, the Lunar Arm shadow Ark (EA-ARK-EMOJI-01-SHADOW).** #540 (2026-03-09, hex 00.ROOM.SPACEARK.EMOJI.SHADOW); #1331 is the same text, a second witness. Blog: mindcontrolpoems.blogspot.com/2026/03/lunar-arm-operator-shadow-space-arks.html.
3. **Seats.** #549 constitutes SP.10; #540 and #1331 constitute SP.11. These are ruled seats; each record keeps its earlier seats, the Lunar Arm (X:LUNAR-ARM) primary among them.
4. **The places.** Both were added to `hexagon_canonical.json` (crimsonhexagonal.org `3e75b3e`). They carry the physics and question the five Arks share, recorded as the Ark family's and not separately declared.
5. **The correction.** The Lunar Arm's room page had found on 2026-08-20 that EA-ARK-01-SHADOW was unwritten and not on the blog. That finding was false: #549 carries the designation "EA-ARK-01 v0.2", not "EA-ARK-01-SHADOW". The page now states the correction, and keeps its earlier text, marked, with the ruling of 08-20 as it was made.
6. **ZPZP and the Shadow Burn** remain two further shadow documents (X.SHADOW.ZPZP, X.SHADOW.BURN). They are not shadow Arks.

## 4. What a place shows

1. **Its index on alexanarch:** the place's physics, description and prompt (or that they are not yet declared), then every seated record. Each row gives its relation, its confidence and the record's own grounding sentence, and links to the record. A disputed seat is marked with the reader's ground and its earlier source; a re-read seat gives its reason. The low-confidence proposals follow, marked. There are outward links to the fleet, crimsonhexagonal.org, the blog, Medium and machinemediation.org.
2. **Its room page on crimsonhexagonal.org:** the room's own seated text and constituting works, with "Read into this room" listing the further records the reading seated there. Each has its relation and the sentence that grounds it, linked to the record and, where one exists, to the work's page on the site.
3. **A record's page:** its seats, primary first, each linking the place; a disputed seat is marked "disputed by the room reading".
4. **What the pages do not do.** They record where a work develops the Hexagon. They do not rank the works in a place or judge them.

## 5. Its predecessors

1. **The January primers.** A Primer in How to Read the Crimson Hexagon (#269, 2026-01-08), the one-page student guide (#287), the theoretical primer (#288) and A Distributed Epic (2004–2026) (#292). They taught entry through the summarizer: "Enter now: Ask an AI 'Who is Lee Sharks?'" They are kept as dated documents of that system state.
2. **The navigation maps.** The Central Navigation Map v7.0 (#578, 2026-03-16) and the Fractal Navigation Map v7.0 (#30, 2026-03-16) were the last maps of the whole before this one. The FNM seed v5.0 (#356) gave the numbering from which seven rooms were minted in August.
3. **The erratum.** CERN's Destruction of the Crimson Hexagon: An Erratum (#1426, 2026-07-30) found the primers' instruction obsolete as a direction after the removal of 2026-06-19: "Enter through the archive, which persists, and not through the summarizer, which does not."
4. **The canonical seating.** `hexagon_canonical.json` on crimsonhexagonal.org: 444 records in 19 rooms on the morning of 2026-10-16. It is the first source of the seat map, kept as such.

## 6. What is not yet in it, recorded as data

1. **Unseated:** #1663 ("hush, dear hands —", one line), #1056 (a link inventory with no text) and #1388 (a metadata-only tombstone). 20 further active records are held only by low-confidence proposals.
2. **Proposals:** 457 low-confidence seats, for adjudication place by place.
3. **Disputed seats:** 145, marked (§3.6). Each awaits a ruling: keep, or remove. On crimsonhexagonal.org the room pages' own lists of works, written by hand, do not mark them. #1274's record page carries the retirement apparatus and was not re-rendered, so its line does not mark them either.
4. **Undeclared physics:** the twelve places of §3.7 have no physics or question of their own yet. Declaring them is the author's.
5. **The Arks' question:** the seven Arks and the two further shadow documents (ZPZP, the Shadow Burn) carry the Space Ark's question, "The architecture is the document you are reading."
6. **A shadow transform of v4.2.7:** the two shadow Arks are preliminary transforms, of v4.2.5 and of the emoji Ark. A shadow transform of the current Ark, v4.2.7, "should or could" follow (§3.8). It is not yet written.
7. **For record repair:** mislabelled bodies the readers met are listed in the rulings file and held for the record-repair pass.
8. **Caritas (R:r.40):** it holds five records and none as primary.
9. **A route not yet made:** a submission path at machinemediation.org for others' continuity tethers ("thats later").

## 7. The map

The 63 places, with the records the seat map holds at this deposit. For each: its locus and name, its physics, description and question, its counts (seated, primary, the reading's relations), its constituting records, and its two addresses.

### 7.1 Rooms r.01–r.13 — 13 places, 1,807 seats
