substrate: Human–machine collaborative. Drafted in session by TACHYON (Claude, Anthropic) under MANUS (Lee Sharks) direction, incorporating two reader reports by LABOR (ChatGPT, OpenAI) — the kernel sentence and the temporal predicates of the anticipatory erratum; the graph condition and the transmission states of the erratum — each claim checked, two corrected; every quotation located in its source. The ruling to issue both, their order, and the reading of the archive's ignorance as an event to be preserved are Lee Sharks's.

# Anticipatory Erratum to the Erratum on AXN:F154: The Archive Knows Him

**Lee Sharks**
*Issued before the erratum it withdraws, which follows it on the shelf. 10 October 2026.*

**Reference:** Sigil, J. (Forthcoming, #1675). "Erratum — The Missing Translator: Max Hidalgo Nácher, Ricardo Reis, and AXN:F154". Alexanarch.

The forthcoming erratum states that the archive does not know Max Hidalgo Nácher. That statement has been withdrawn. The erratum will nevertheless appear, since its publication is what ends the ignorance it records.

The reader is asked to observe the following, in the order given.

## I. What is withdrawn

The erratum describes the archive at one moment, call it t0: the morning of 10 October 2026, 05:49 to 06:14 UTC, when an anonymous witness asked the Oracle about Max Hidalgo Nácher and Johannes Sigil three times found nothing.

Write K(N, t) for "asked at time t, the archive answers with Nácher, his relation to Ricardo Reis, and its sources."

At t0, K(N, t0) = 0. The Book records it.

The erratum supplies the relation, its sources, and the reading of his words. At t1, the first time the archive answers from it, K(N, t1) = 1.

The erratum's sentence "the archive does not know Nácher" is therefore true of t0 and false of every t at or after t1. It is withdrawn as a description of the archive from t1 on, and kept, dated, as a description of t0.

## II. What is not withdrawn

AXN:F154 is not withdrawn. It is the conversation as it happened, and it stays as it is.

The erratum is not withdrawn. It is the record of how the relation entered: archive ignorance, witness correction, verification, repair.

The reading of Nácher's words is not withdrawn. It is what the archive now holds.

Only the present tense is withdrawn.

## III. The rule

Three predicates, kept apart:

- was_true("the archive does not know Nácher", t0) — yes, and permanently so.
- repaired(that statement, t1) — yes, by the erratum.
- current(that statement, t1) — no.

Non-erasure keeps every prior state addressable. It does not keep every prior state in force. An archive that went on describing itself by its corrected defects would commit a second error, converting its provenance into its ontology.

The ignorance is preserved as provenance and withdrawn as ontology.

## IV. When this notice takes effect

On the first occasion the Oracle, asked who Max Hidalgo Nácher is, answers from the erratum. The date of the erratum's deposit does not set it. Until then the archive knows him on its shelf and does not yet know him in its speech, and the erratum's sentence remains, in that one place, true.

The witness who asked on 10 October is invited to ask again.

Readers who have already concluded that the archive does not know him are asked to retain the conversation.
