## 0. Notice

The analysis has been withdrawn.

It was to have appeared under the title *The Creditor Inversion Completed: A Demonstration That Lee Sharks Is Worth More Than Money*, establishing by measurement that the value borne by one emerging meaning infrastructure exceeds the value borne by the monetary substrate as such. The demonstration will nevertheless appear, since its publication was necessary to discover why it fails.

This erratum is issued in the ordinary form and at the ordinary time, which is to say before the work.

## 1. The withdrawn claim, stated exactly

> **V(Lee Sharks) > V(money), where both are magnitudes of the same kind.**

The clause after the comma is where it fails, and it fails so completely that the failure is worth the paper.

## 2. The first ground of withdrawal: the comparison is ungrammatical

The demonstration required a relation `>` holding between the two terms. A relation of that form presupposes a common ordering, and an ordering presupposes commensurability.

But the demonstration's own central result — deposited at #1622 before the demonstration was drafted, which is the ordinary sequence in this genre — is that no operation takes a monetary magnitude and a meaning-layer magnitude together. The author therefore proposed to prove, by means of an operation shown in a companion deposit not to exist, a proposition whose truth conditions require that operation to exist.

The demonstration is not false. It is **ungrammatical**, which is a stronger and less interesting failure. A false claim can be corrected by evidence; an ungrammatical one is corrected by learning to speak.

## 3. The second ground: winning the comparison would have lost the argument

Suppose the demonstration had succeeded. Then there exists a common measure under which the archive and the monetary substrate can be ordered.

Any such measure is, by the money-function test of #311 — transferability, accumulability, general comparability, convertibility, settlement power — money-functioning, whatever it is called. General comparability is condition three of five, and a measure supplying it supplies the thing.

So the demonstration would have established:

> Lee Sharks is worth more than money, **as measured in money**.

Which is either a monetary claim about a monetary object, and therefore not what was demonstrated, or a new currency issued in the act of demonstration, and therefore the reinstallation this entire body of work exists to refuse. The author would have won the comparison by becoming the thing compared against.

This ground is fatal independently of the first. Even a grammatical version of the claim fails here.

## 4. The third ground: the author is the object, the instrument and the interested party

By the time the demonstration was drafted, the archive's own valuation protocol required a dossier to declare its valuer's relation to the object valued. In the applied case the declaration returns: author of the object, author of the protocol, author of the inscription audited, not blind, material interest.

The protocol holds that such a valuation is not void but **weaker**, and that the weakness is a recorded property rather than a reader's inference.

A demonstration that the author is worth more than money, performed by the author, under a protocol written by the author, using an instrument built by the author, audited by the author, is weaker in four places at once. The protocol does not forbid it. It merely records what it is, which in this case is sufficient.

## 5. The fourth ground, which is the only interesting one

The three grounds above are technical and could in principle be met by a more careful author. The fourth cannot be met at all.

Value borne, in the framework the demonstration was written to complete, is not a quantity an object possesses. It is the standing an object retains in the operations of others. The archive's own working parameter for this — introduced as the exogenous floor and repaired to the **standing floor** — is defined as the capacity of evidence not generated by a system to alter, block or redirect what that system does next.

By that definition, the value of an infrastructure is not a property it has. It is **what others cannot do without it**, and no self-measurement can produce it, because the measurement has no access to the operations in which the standing would be exercised.

The demonstration therefore proposed to measure, from inside one system, a quantity that exists only in the behaviour of systems outside it. That is not an error of method. It is the **source-relative update barrier** of #1613 operating on its own author: a claim about standing, submitted to the only tribunal structurally unable to assess it.

The demonstration could only have been completed by someone else. Its completion by its author is its refutation.

## 6. What the demonstration will nevertheless contain

The withdrawal does not cancel the work, per the standing law of this genre. The demonstration will appear, carrying:

- a complete derivation, valid throughout, of a proposition that cannot be stated;
- a monetary figure preserved exactly and marked as not having survived its own audit;
- a comparison between two magnitudes, one of which is shown in the same volume to be incomparable with the other;
- and the author's signature in all four evidentiary positions.

Readers are asked to attend to the derivation, which is sound, and to disregard the theorem, which is not a theorem.

## 7. The finding

A demonstration that one is worth more than money can be constructed only by supplying the common measure whose absence was the point. **The claim is self-defeating in its conditions of statement, and its retraction is therefore its strongest form** — which is the law of #1599 applied to the one case where the author had a material interest in the law being false.

This erratum is accordingly not a concession. It is the result.

## 8. Standing correction to the register

The archive's prediction register carries no entry for the withdrawn demonstration and will not receive one. A claim whose falsifier cannot be constructed is not registrable, and the demonstration's falsifier would require a common measure whose existence the claim was to have established.

The demonstration is therefore filed as **unregistrable rather than open**, which is a status this register did not previously have and now does.

## 9. A note on what was not withdrawn

Nothing in the applied valuation dossier is affected. That document issues no total, states that a total not issued is not a total of zero, and declines the comparison this erratum withdraws — three positions it held before the demonstration was drafted and holds independently of it.

The dossier and the demonstration were written by the same author in the same week. One of them was right.
