Each carries the life of Aristotle from Ptolemy al-Gharīb (Ptolemy 'the stranger'; Rose's Ptolemaeus philosophus; Elias, seated at 31/04, calls him ὁ Φιλάδελφος), whose Greek book to Gallus gave the life, the will and the catalogue together and is lost in Greek; Ibn al-Qifṭī and Ibn Abī Uṣaybiʿa transmit the catalogue itself. Ibn Abī Uṣaybiʿa says Theophrastus was Aristotle's mother's sister's son (ابن خالته), the Fihrist his sister's son (ابن اخته). Rose's Latin rendering of the list, with its Greek reconstruction, is seated at 31/07. The Müller edition of Ibn Abī Uṣaybiʿa (Cairo and Königsberg, 1882–1884) and Lippert's Ibn al-Qifṭī (Leipzig, 1903), both public domain, were not found as text this session and are queued.",
